I am a fully qualified and experienced
counsellor/psychotherapist, and a Mindfulness Teacher. I have also worked as a support group facilitator. I am fully accredited with the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy - you will see my details in the 'Find a Therapist' section
of the IACP website. I am a fully accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am also a fully accredited member of the Mindfulness Teachers Association Ireland (MTAI).
It is my privilege to hold a safe, nurturing space for the client, allowing him or her to come home to the self, free to acknowledge and explore the issues that are
calling for attention.
My psychotherapeutic approach includes Rogerian client-centred; Psychodynamic; Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy; Solution Focused Brief Therapy; Mindfulness based Interventions; Compassion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behvioural Therapy.
Over the years I have worked with a wide range of clients on issues including anxiety, depression, stress, anger, self-esteem, grief/loss, relationship issues, transitions, shock/trauma; and psychiatric diagnoses in conjunction with the client's
psychiatrist. I also work as locum Student Counsellor for UCD, IADT, NCAD and ITT over the last five academic years, dealing with a very broad range of issues.
